Small Boat Cruise
June 19 - June 26, 2008
This Fishermen’s Cruise will feature a modest Yellowtail
Tournament, for which there may be a small fee for a few awards.
On
June 19 a caravan will meet at 6 a.m. at the first toll station south
of Tijuana and travel to San Quintin at Cielito Lindo/Gypsy’s
Camp for their famous stone crab claws dinners and killer margarita’s
at Cielito Lindo’s Restaurant and Bar.
June 20 – Breakfast
burritos at Gypsy’s, hit the road for El Rosario. Gas up there
and head out to Bahia de Los Angeles. Spend night at Don Juan Cove
(optional).
June 21 – Bahia de Los Angeles cruise/fish to San
Francisquito (50 miles). Anchor for the night. Hike in to hotel; possible
to pick up extra gas.
June 22 – Cruise/fish to Salsipuedes slot.
Enjoy a wonderful beach and unusual area.
June 23 – Cruise /fish
to Isla Partida - grouper country.
June 24 – Cruise/fish to Refugio.
June 25 – Cruise/fish to Gonzaga Bay; Alfonsina’s. June
26 – Return to BOLA; Cruise conclusion party at Hotel Diaz with
possible tournament awards.
Some may want to cruise over to San Carlos for a few days. Large boat
cruisers may consider launching at San Felipe and meeting group in
BOLA. Ron Reinhardt will coordinate this leg. San Carlos cruisers may
consider meeting group in BOLA and then returning with interested parties
to San Carlos after the cruise. A more detailed description will be
